Saving battery power...

I'm using btraced on my iPhone 4S as an automatic key for my home in combination with a house automation system (DOMOTICZ).
This works fine in the way that my alarm unit will be activated or deactivated when reaching a 300m zone arround my house.
Also I can activate or deactivate special scenarious dependently on the distance to my home :-)

I've optimized the power consumption by some special settings in btraced but I would like to ask if it is possible in a future release to activate or deactivate the GPS receiver in the iPhone depending on motion of the iPhone. This maybe can be done by watching the motion sensor inside the iPhone. In that case it's non more neccessary to switch on/off the GPS receiver manually.

Regards

Hartmut

Just use the change of cell tower just like devide locator does?

"The application reports your device's location to a central server that you can log in to from your browser to track your device's location. This is done without decreasing your device's battery life or performance. Once the application has been configured it will report your device's location every time your iPhone connects to a new cell tower. "
